From 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., there will be a live “critters” show hosted by Mike’s Critters for you and your children to enjoy. The event will feature a variety of interesting and unusual animals, and it is open to the public.

Children of all ages can see animals such as degus, chinchillas, pygmy hedgehogs, hairless rats and exotic birds. In addition, Mike’s Critters is also home to a variety of reptiles, including boa constrictors, geckos, tortoises, chameleons and bearded dragons.

Mike is constantly adding animals in need of love and special care to his menagerie, so the exact lineup of “critters” is subject to change.

About Mike’s Critters

Mike Larson has had an affinity for animals of all shapes and sizes ever since he was a child. It was always his dream to spend his life caring for “critters” and educating the public about lesser-known exotic species.

In 2005, he founded Mike’s Critters and has spent the past 13 years educating the public and expanding his business to better serve the Lower Mainland. He customizes fresh water, salt water and brackish water systems for aquariums, and terrariums, and he has also recently expanded into pet boarding.

The heart and soul of the business is Mike’s zoo of over 100 species of animals. He offers hands-on educational programs for children and seniors that can be tailored to fit each client’s specific needs.

His animals are also available for birthday parties or entertainment industry rentals. In fact, some of his critters have appeared in television shows, movies and commercials. Clients are able to consult with Mike and choose the animals they wish to see in advance so that their scheduled events are fun for everyone in attendance.
