Ghosts, ghouls and goblins are getting ready for the spookiest day of the year. Halloween is a great time for you and your family to get creative and become someone or something else for a night — and enjoy candy treats and snacks, of course. Make this year more exciting and come visit Lynn Valley Centre’s “Spooky Haunted House” at Centre Court now until October 31st.
You can also bring the kids to Lynn Valley Centre for Halloween on October 31st for Trick or Treating fun.
From 4pm to 5pm on Halloween evening, children 12 years old and younger are welcome to enjoy free Trick or Treating at participating stores. This is a great way to add something extra to celebrate Halloween and stay warm and safe inside the shopping centre.
Trick or Treating outside door-to-door is still the main attraction for many kids and if plans are to make your way around the local area houses in your scary-good costumes, here are some Halloween Safety Tips to help ensure everyone has a great night and stays safe.
Use Lights or Reflective Colours
Incorporating lights, glow sticks, glow paints or other reflective colours into kids’ costumes is a great way to help them stay visible and safe on Halloween night.
Limit the Use of Masks
Masks are an easy fix for any costume but they can also pose problems by blocking eyesight or make breathing difficult for some children. Instead, try face paints and other alternatives.
No Sharp Accessories
Does your child’s costume include a faux sword or other weapon? If it does then make sure you are not using material that is too hard or has sharp edges.
Happy Halloween from Lynn Valley Centre!
