While most of us think of Christmas as a time of joy and celebration, there are many who find the holiday season to be difficult. Financial hardships, loneliness, illness and mental health struggles can make the holidays a stressful time for some. This year, it is especially important for us to help uplift those who need our support.
At Lynn Valley Shopping Centre, we strive to provide our guests with an amazing shopping experience every time they visit. However, we also want our community to know that we also value those who are unable to visit us or in need of a helping hand. This is why the merchants of Lynn Valley Centre come together every year to support local charities during the holiday season.
Warm Hearts and Helping Hands
This year, one of the special organizations that the Lynn Valley Centre’s family will be partnering with is the Christmas Bureau by Family Services of the North Shore. They are a wonderful organization that helps to ease the burden of the holidays for those who are struggling physically, mentally, emotionally or financially.
The charity helps families, individuals and senior citizens who live in North Vancouver, West Vancouver, Lions Bay and Bowen Island. Lynn Valley Shopping Center is proud to partner with them to offer a little bit of joy to community members who are in need of some extra comfort.
How Lynn Valley Centre Is Giving Back
This holiday season, Lynn Valley merchants are generously donating goods and services to fill up holiday gift hampers for several of this year’s applicants. These gift hampers will be filled to the brim with necessities such as toiletries, personal care items and other essentials to ensure that each person is able to live comfortably and with dignity.
In addition to the basics, each hamper will also have a number of wrapped gifts, small comforts, treats and festive items to make sure that every person helped can feel as much delight from the holidays as possible this year.
